A wall-mounted hybrid system is a multi-energy hybrid system for heating, summer cooling and domestic hot water production. This system is created by combining three main components:
– The wall-mounted boiler: depending on installation requirements, the gas generator can be chosen from boilers ranging from 25 to 35 kW, for heating only or combined, for wall installation (indoors or outdoors in partially protected locations) or built-in. The boilers have a modulation ratio of 1:5 or 1:8, depending on the model, and are all equipped with high-efficiency circulators. The system control panel is able to activate the most energy-efficient heat source based on climatic conditions and manage the system up to 2 independent hot/cold temperature zones.
– The heat pump: NXH 005÷015 series outdoor air-to-water monobloc, used for heating, cooling and preheating domestic hot water if a DHW boiler is present. NXH 005÷015, specifically designed for hybrid systems, is able to communicate with the system intelligence via bus and is available in 5, 7, 11 and 15 kW power ratings.
– The hydraulic distribution module: you can choose between the simple Hbox hydraulic node and the more flexible BAG³ Hybrid distribution module. Hbox allows you to make a simple hydraulic connection between the two generators, creating a direct one-way system in which the boiler pumps and heat pump are responsible for supplying the system. For more complex systems, the BAG³ Hybrid distribution module is available: for indoor flush-mounted or wall-mounted installations, or outdoor flush-mounted installations, in 1 direct, 2 direct or 1 direct and 1 mixed configurations, equipped with low-consumption self-modulating circulators (EEI≤0.20). The distribution module also acts as a hydraulic separator between the generators and the system circuits. The system is designed for connection to a single-coil domestic hot water tank served by a heat pump, or to a double-coil domestic hot water tank served by a heat pump and solar thermal energy, by installing the diverter valve kit.
– The system is able to interface with a photovoltaic system in order to change its energy strategy, favouring the use of electricity when it is self-produced.
